multi-purpose latch

Recently ahDen had learnt something new, and he keeps on polishing his new accomplished skill - tat is opening the fridge! >:P

Even when it's under our watchful eye, and when we said 'No Jayden, close the fridge now!'.... it was totally useless. He juz ignored us completely and continued playing wid the stuff inside the fridge. I remembered how my niece Esther used to do the same thing wid the fridges at my mum's house - opening & closing the fridge door non-stop. So it's supposed to be a stage for the toddlers, and sth tat they'll maneuver sooner or later.... and finally it is Jayden's turn.

Monday morning i played ahDen's nursery rhymes vcd for him on the TV, hoping i can steal some time to brush my teeth. Normally he'll be knocking at the bathroom asking for me but strangely not tat morn. So i took a peek outside to check on him and there he was removing the stuffs from the fridge - Bovril, margerine, condensed milk! No wonder he was being such a quiet & 'good' boy! All tat's bcox he had found a new 'toy'!

Finally both hubby & I could stand it no longer. We both knew it's time to get a latch for the fridge. Sigh! I used to hear my ex-colleagues complaining about their kids opening the fridge non-stop and a latch like tis solved all their problem. ;)) Who knows i'll be looking for tis latch too one day?!?! I cracked my head thinking where i'd seen this type of multi-purpose latch before.... and we decided to hunt for it at Anakku Karamunsing.

First stop at Anakku, I found the latch but it came wid a whole set of other safety items which i don't think i need. So we went to Guardian next, looking for only the multi-purpose latch. I found it alright but the latch alone costs RM8+, whereas the HomeSafety Gift Set costs RM20 and there are 14 items in it - Corner Cushions Round Type x4, Socket/Outlet Plug x4, Multi-purpose Latch x2, Anti Slam Doorstopper x2, Safety Scissors x1, & Cabinet Slide Latch x1. So definately getting the whole set seems to worth more, moreover there are actually 2 of the latches i wanted.




Ahhhh.... now finally the fridge is safe, and finally all the items inside the fridge are safe too. Phew.... save both mummy & daddy the trouble of looking out for DenDen's Fridge Mischief! Thank God someone actually invented these latches. =))"
