Jayden's mummy :- "
15th March 2009 - A church friend suggested to me a few weeks ago to let Jayden goes to sunday school. Til now he owest attended church service together with us and we still didn't expose him to sunday school for children on the 1st floor of our church yet cox we both assume he isn't old enough for tat.
However today, we finally brought him upstairs to haf a look at wat all the other kids are doing there. When we entered the assembly hall where all the children gathered, we saw tat there were many other parents who are there too, accompanying their kids as they attend sunday school. The teachers taught the children to say prayers, to sing hymns, and other activities.
After tat, all the kids were divided into their age group and attended classes according to their age group. Jayden went to the class for the youngest kids and there were many other mums and dads there too, attending the class as well... ;)) The teacher took the kids' attendance and later told them all a bible story. After tat there were activities like colouring, playing wid toys, and the teacher even gave all the children some snacks as a reward for being good gals n boys.
All thru the class, Jayden didn't concentrate at all. I understand it was his first time being around so many other kids, and as usual he juz played by his own. He doesn't really mix wid other kids of his age, and all thru the class he was doing other stuff by himself. ;))
Well, it was a good opportunity to let him try to be more familiar wid sunday school cox he'll most probably be going to kindy next year. If he can learn to pay attention when the teacher is talking and also to befriend all the other kids, it'll be so much easier sending him for school.
He didn't finish attending the whole class tat day. After spending like about 15minutes in class, when the classroom door opened, he rushed out into the hall and went to the piano there. He wanted to play the piano, banging on its keys & trying to make all kinds of sound. So ended up both of us sat there, playing the piano!
Hopefully in a few more weeks to come Jayden will be more familiar wid sunday school. I'm not rushing him into trying to socialise wid other kids, so juz let him take his sweet time and enjoy himself there at sunday school every Sunday. May this practice eventually teach him the need to attend church every Sunday in future. Amen."
